What in-home care will Medicare cover?
The in-home care that Medicare will cover depends on the type of care involved, and whether it's truly medical in nature.
What caregivers need to know about Medicare’s coverage
Medicare will generally pay for services related to your loved one's specific illnesses or injuries, but it generally won't help cover the cost of supportive care for everyday living.
Medicare as a general policy does not cover custodial care (activities of daily living like getting in and out of bed, using the toilet facilities, getting dressed, etc.).
